Greetings from beautiful San Juan Island, WA!

Hello!
I am MJ. You may know me from one of my mass-produced decks such as The Crow Tarot or The Guardian of the Night Tarot.
This site is dedicated to my independently published work.
I create each illustration by hand on a Wacom tablet, layering my own photos, drawn elements, and digitally crafted pieces into a single image. Some cards include more than a hundred components! Every feather, shadow, shell, and scrap of texture; it all comes together to build the world that card needs.
My inspiration comes from where I live: a mountaintop on a small Pacific Northwest island, surrounded by trees, sea, foxes, ravens, and skies that shift through every mood imaginable. With whales offshore and eagles overhead, it is pretty easy to stay creatively charged.
Along with making the art and writing the guidebooks, I also personally pack and ship each order. I print the bags as well. I like to think that with each order that ships from my home that I send a little of this island's magick with it.

What I offer here isn’t just a deck of cards. It’s a curated collection of individual works of art—each one illustrated with the same care, time, and intention I would give to a gallery piece.
Second Printing of The Garden of Enchanted Creatures
I view my decks as mini-art galleries. Each deck I create is similar to that of putting on a show, a cohesive collection of work with a central theme and that tells a story, whether it be a print on the wall or a card in your hand the amount of time and work I devote to each piece is the same.
Each card, rich in symbolic imagery and vibrant colors, is crafted to delight the eye and open pathways to deeper understanding and personal insight. My approach to tarot draws inspiration from the energy of artists like Frida Kahlo, Hieronymus Bosch, and Basquiat, providing a fresh perspective that challenges and rewards the seeker.
Includes a detailed guidebook.

A quick note about pre-orders: I print my artwork/decks in small batches with a printer here in the USA. My work is created this way to ensure that my decks go directly to loving homes and not sitting on a shelf collecting dust. Pre-orders is how I pay my printer as I need to pay them before they print. Your pre-order does more than just help me pay the printer, it also helps me determine how many decks to order. Thank you!
